Healthy and Safety regulation 14 makes it a legal requirement that all existing glazing in the workplace is made impact-safe and marked in order to prevent serious injury through accidental collisions with glass glazing in the workplace.
This means that every piece of critically located glazing in a wall, partition, door or gate must be impact proof or safe breaking and clearly marked with manifestations.
The only way to comply with this regulation is either to replace all the current glazing with specialist toughened glass, or give us a call to fit a safety film over your current glass in a fraction of the time and at a quarter of the cost.
Manifestations
Identification is a second factor. Any transparent glass placed where there is a risk of human impact must be clearly marked by manifestations such as dots, squares or a bespoke design to prevent people from walking clean through the glazing.
